Centers of excellence
Our Sarah Cannon locations bring together physician leadership, cutting-edge technology and specialized nurse navigation to support our patients throughout their cancer journey. Our approach includes:
- A multi-disciplinary approach that aligns board-certified and highly-experienced surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists to lead the development of care pathways and collaborate on personalized care plans through tumor boards.
- Use of the latest technology for imaging and profiling to ensure that staging and tumor characterization are developed with precision, beginning at diagnosis, so that the best care plan can be recommended for the patient.
- Data informatics systems that are customized to measure quality and constantly improve processes from the point of diagnosis through survivorship.
- A Nurse Navigation program that ensures patients and their team of physicians can have a constant point of contact through the cancer journey. Sarah Cannon Nurse Navigators are required to have special training in specific cancer types to help the patient in understanding their unique cancer, assist in removing barriers, and offer emotional support for the patient and their family.
